Philosophies of Bleak Landscapes

by Buer

/
1.
Bleak I found myself upon this black rock, This horror Confused By the terror Of this pitiful world before me Flat This world is dead So dark and cold Dead So morbid Desolate Inhabited By creatures so sad By beings so cold Scavengers Of the land Always at war My attempts To learn their ways Instilled sorrow Hopeless they were They destroyed All of their home My journey Instilled knowledge Of this planet A place called Earth That was once glorious It’s now but bleak Dialogue: I have just found the ruins of the dying Earth. This experience will always be a lesson to me. It’s depressing in retrospect, how a flourishing utopia could so swiftly become the horror I had just witnessed. I have just learned the philosophies of this bleak landscape, and they are not pleasant.
